The purpose of this site is to promote that all faiths support in their teachings, a way of leading a humane and compassionate life by treating the environment & animals with respect and kindness. There is no intent to contradict or denigrate any religious teaching.

The teachings from the various enlightened teachers, prophets, masters and saints are full of ethical and conscientious choices in regards to our responsibilities when caring for the environment and our non human animals co-inhabitants. It is clearly recorded in many scriptures of how we are to serve as stewards for this temporal abode we occupy.

The environment and the animals coexist maintaining a delicate and intricate balance. These two work in a miraculous and fluent manner with unwritten rules and guidelines, meanwhile making the adequate changes when necessary.

Due to human activities and the deviation of our moral compass, our habits and unsustainable methods of conducting ‘business as usual’, is reflecting in the unbalances we are experiencing with climate change. We are carrying on with little or no respect for both the planets ecology and other species. Our society takes the liberty to label itself as civilized and superior but yet our actions thus far have demonstrated the contrary.

We have been well informed by the scientific community, international agencies and other academic organizations of the planet being in peril. In addition, in the past recent years, the world has witnessed an increase in the magnitude and frequency of natural disasters as well as animal borne related diseases.

Although, governments are taking steps, they are not acting at the necessary pace. Therefore, it is up to community leaders and leaders of congregations to encourage and empower individuals to truly set the examples of how to live a more sustainable and harmonious lifestyle as indicated in the various holy scriptures.  We kindly urge all to consider their choices in living a life as benevolent and merciful as those saintly individuals described in the various holly scriptures.

“We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living things, humanity will not find peace.”
-  Dr. Albert Schweitzer 1952 Nobel Peace Prize recipient

As habitants of this temporal home, we should understand that animals should have the freedom to live their lives as nature intended and that animals and nature do not belong to humans but we are merely custodians. We should therefore seek to conserve the biosphere for all wildlife and humanity to enjoy together in harmony.

Respect Nature, Respect Animals
Here, we would like to present the additional writings from other other world faiths not listed above.
Many benevolent teachings share similar understanding of our responsibility to care for the environment as well as treating animals with respect. They maintain a collaborative relationship, and in turn provide us with the biasesof our existence.
